Flat, single, white flowers, with yellow stamens. The petals are occasionally tipped pink and the flowers are strongly
scented. A vigorous, upright habit, flowering in October to November.
Found widely across southern China and Vietnam, been cultivated for hundreds of years for producing oil from its seeds. It is very similar to varieties of Camellia sasanqua, except the dark green, evergreen leaves are a bit larger, three to five inches long and two to three inches wide.
