Species Azaleas

Species Azaleas are a genus Rhododendron, particularly the former sections Tsutsusi (Evergreen, covered with leave threw out the year) and Pentanthera (deciduous, drop their leaves in autumn, only to shoot into growth in the spring). They bloom in the spring (April and May in the temperate Northern Hemisphere, and October and November in the Southern Hemisphere). The flowers often lasting several weeks. Shade tolerant.
