Mop-heads have domed, rounded flower heads and are produced on a commercial scale for gardens and also the houseplant market. The showy flower parts are sterile florets.
With the lace-cap varieties, each flower head consists of many inconspicuous, small, fertile flowers surrounded by single ring of showy outer florets, which are usually of a contrasting colour.
Cone-shaped head: sterile florets always apparent, tiny fertile ones usually present.
